JENIN, West Bank (Reuters) – The Israeli army killed two Palestinian militants on Saturday morning in the West Bank, the IDF and witnesses said.
A clash opposed before dawn in the area of Jenin a patrol to armed Palestinians, one of whom was injured, according to these witnesses.
Two other activists took him into a car, before dropping him off with residents and continuing on their way. Chased by the army, they were then killed, they added.
An army spokesman said the soldiers opened fire on the car after being targeted by gunfire, adding that there were no casualties on the Israeli side.
The Al Aksa Martyrs Brigades and Islamic Jihad claimed that the victims belonged to their respective groups.
