Sydney: Fire broke out in a seven-storey building, spread to other buildings as well


More than 100 firefighters are trying to put out a blaze that is spreading to other buildings at a seven-storey building in Sydney on Thursday, according to emergency services. Firefighters in the Australian state of New South Wales said in a statement: “The building is in the process of collapse as the fire has started to spread to several nearby buildings, including residential (buildings).” Emergency services said 20 fire engines and more than 100 firefighters were deployed to “trace and extinguish the fire” at the Randall Street building near Sydney Central Station.
