Moscow affected by drone attacks, says city’s mayor
(Reuters) – Moscow was hit by drone strikes on Tuesday that targeted several buildings and caused minor damage without casualties, said Sergei Sobyanin, the mayor of Russia’s capital.
“All emergency services in the city are on the scene of these incidents,” he said in a statement.
The governor of the Moscow region, Andrei Vorobyov, said in a telegram that several drones were shot down as they approached the capital.
The RIA news agency reported that residents of a building on Prosoyuznaya Street in the south of the city had to be evacuated.
According to several Telegram accounts in Russia, four to ten drones were destroyed on the outskirts of Moscow.
