Mexico City airport suspends operations due to volcanic ash

MEXICO CITY (Reuters) – Mexico City’s Benito Juarez International Airport said on Saturday it had suspended operations because of ash from the Popocatepetl volcano, which has been active for several days. The airport operator said it and airline workers were working to clear the runway and taxiways. As of 3:15 pm GMT, all flights were still suspended.
