(Reuters) – Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky said on Thursday that Russia’s proposed truce was aimed at preventing Ukraine from making progress in eastern Ukraine’s Donbass region. “They want to use Christmas as an excuse to try, if only temporarily, to stop the progress of our men in the Donbass and prevent us from bringing equipment, ammunition and mobilizing soldiers there”, said Volodimir Zelensky in his daily address. “What will they gain?
