Zakharyan’s transfer to Galatasaray failed because of the footballer’s father

Popular sports commentator Ozgur Sankar told the details of the unsuccessful transfer of Dynamo Moscow midfielder Arsen Zakharyan to Turkish Galatasaray.

“There was only one obstacle in this transfer – the opinion of Arsen’s father, there were no other problems. Galatasaray agrees with Dinamo. If you are interested in the financial details, I can provide them: €13m, plus €2.5m bonus Arsene wanted to play for Galatasaray, but the deal was thwarted due to his father’s views. This is clear information that I have received from the top management of Galatasaray. I would never have said such a thing without confirmation,” Sankara told Independent Turkce.

Recall that 20-year-old Russian footballer Arsen Zakharyan has been playing for the main Dynamo team since 2020. During this time, he spent 84 matches as part of the blue-and-whites, in which he scored 17 goals. He also has seven games for the Russian national team.
