Vyacheslav Fetisov: The limit on foreign players is a blow to low-budget KHL clubs

Olympic champion in the USSR national hockey team, State Duma deputy Vyacheslav Fetisov spoke about the changes in the legionnaire limit in the Continental Hockey League.

“Any limit does not give anything good. I think it’s a big blow, especially for low-budget clubs. Thanks to high-quality and inexpensive legionnaires, they were competitive, ”says KP-Sport, quoting Fetisov.

Next season, the limit will be reduced to three foreigners per club.

We will remind, earlier, the president of the KHL Alexei Morozov said that he intends to return the previous limit of five legionnaires.

Last season, the limit for foreign players in league teams was five.
