The draw for the quarter-finals of the Champions League will take place on Friday 17 March at UEFA headquarters in Nyon (Switzerland). The eight qualifiers will know the identity of their next opponent, but also the road that awaits them up to the final as the draw for the semi-finals will take place immediately afterwards. Brilliantly qualified after two victories against Liverpool (5-2, 1-0), the Real Madrid of Karim Benzema, Aurélien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga are aiming for their 15th title in the competition.
But Bayern Munich, PSG’s scorer in the round of 16 (1-0, 2-0), or Manchester City could stand against the Spaniards. Pep Guardiola’s men dream of a first crowning on the European scene and the performance of the Norwegian Erling Haaland, top scorer in C1 after the recent quintuple against Leipzig (10 goals), is enough to frighten the competition. Unless Chelsea, Benfica or the three Italian teams involved (Naples, Milan and Inter) continue their good journey. The first quarter-finals will be played on 11 and 12 April, with the return matches a week later on 18 and 19 April.
