Spartak appointed Zhamnov as head coach
Moscow “Spartak” announced the appointment of Alexei Zhamnov, head coach of the Russian national team, to the post of head coach.
We recall that the specialist also holds the position of adviser to the chairman of the supervisory board of the red and whites. Previously, the coach has already acted as the head coach of the Moscow club.
Under the leadership of Zhamnov, the Russian team won silver medals at the Beijing Olympics.
Last season, Spartak finished ninth in the Western Conference table and failed to qualify for the Gagarin Cup playoffs.
