In a year’s time, Paris will host the most illustrious of competitions: the Olympic Games. For the occasion, French cities are preparing to bring the experience of the Olympic Games to the population and tourists.
Next year, during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the Trocadéro esplanade will be able to host 150,000 people, for ten days, to celebrate all the winners of the competition the day after their feat. In this park of champions, spectators will be able to follow the finals of sporting events on a giant screen. It is one of the 25 fan zones in Paris.
239 cities will install fan zones
In France, 239 cities will establish fan zones. This is the case, for example, case to Haguenau (Lower Rhine). “L’idea cis being able to watch the races on a giant screen and being able to share the emotion of sport all together and the greatest victories, which we hope will be French, during the Olympic Games“explains Nicolas Doyen, project manager Haguenau Paris 2024. Municipalities have until April to decide whether to organize their own fan zones.
