Lokomotiv made a statement about the incident with the inclusion of midfielder Dmitry Barinov in the bid for the 1/4 final match of the Way of Regions of the Cup of Russia with Akron. The message was published by the press service of «railway».

It should be noted that the face-to-face meeting of the teams ended with the victory of the Togliatti club in the penalty shootout (1:1, penalty shootout – 7:6).

It is said that the fault for the non-compliance with the rules lies with the red-and-green employee, who fills out a form with the list of players allowed to play. The employee interpreted the provisions of the regulation literally and concluded that all warnings received by FC Lokomotiv players were canceled. The management of the Moscow team noted that he did not show due diligence and received a disciplinary sanction.

We add that earlier Barinov received a yellow card in a two-game clash with Spartak and was suspended for one match. The 26-year-old player had to serve his sentence in the game with Akron.
