Scorer this Friday 21 July in a friendly match against Le Havre (2-0), Kylian Mbappé perhaps did not expect such an exile just a few minutes from the final whistle. Because the Parisian management, in contrast to its star striker, decided to decide on the spot: the Blues captain is not one of the 29 players selected for PSG’s tour of Japan, whose departure is scheduled for Saturday 22 July. The two sides are divided over the extension of the French international’s contract (70 selections).

The club from the capital has communicated this list on its official website and in which, therefore, the best player in Ligue 1 from last season does not appear. Kylian’s younger brother, Ethan Mbappé, 16, is part of the group that will fly to Osaka and Tokyo.

Mbappé on the market after July 31?

Inside the Parisian club, Radio France learned from a source familiar with the matter, it should be noted that since Kylian Mbappé’s return to training last Monday, there have been no developments regarding his contractual situation. PSG deduces from this that it already has an agreement with another club to join in June 2024, at the end of the contract, free of charge.

The line of Paris Saint-Germain, decreed by its president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, is the following, and he made it known to the players on Tuesday afternoon in training during a fifteen-minute speech: nobody is above the club, the institution. This is therefore what led the club not to include Kylian Mbappé in the group that will go to Japan.

We remind you that a deadline has been set for Kylian Mbappé to activate the option of an extra year present in his contract with Paris: July 31st. After this date, he will be put on the market.
