Freiburg has extended the contract with the club’s coach Streich

Freiburg’s management has extended the contract with the team’s entire coaching staff, led by its boss Christian Streich, who has been head coach since 2011, according to the club’s website.

Patrick Bayer, assistant coach since 2009 (the longest in the Bundesliga), Florian Bruns and Julian Schuster will continue to work together with Streich.

Streich himself holds the Bundesliga record, having played 347 games as a team manager, and taking into account those played as a Freiburg player, 430 games.

Details of the deals were not disclosed.

After 24 laps, Freiburg has scored 45 points and is fifth in the German championship. Leipzig and Union, who precede him in the fight for third place, have the same number.
