Retirement is more relevant than ever. After that of Tessa Worley, announced today, it is Anaïs Chevalier-Bouchet who is now a very young pensioner. The Frenchwoman ran the last race of her career on Sunday 19 March and took third place in the Oslo mass start. She was beaten only by the Swedish Hanna Oeberg, untouchable, and by another biathlete, the Norwegian Marte Olsbu Roeiseland.

Julia Simon, assured since the day before of winning the Biathlon World Cup for the first time in her career, finished fifth in the last race of the winter, after four errors from a standing shot (16/20). In foggy Oslo, Hanna Oeberg and Marte Olsbu Roeiseland both shot 19 for 20 despite poor visibility, but the Swede crossed the finish line 22 seconds ahead. Anaïs Chevalier-Bouchet, with three missed targets, exited the range fourth after the last shot from a standstill, but returned to the podium on the last lap overtaking German Hanna Kebinger, finally fourth.
