The Colombians won 2-0 against South Korea on Tuesday for their entry into the competition.
In the last match of the first day of the group stage of the World Cup, Colombia beat South Korea (2-0), a victory that places them at the top of group H, on a par with Germany, who defeated Morocco (6-0). In a boiling Sydney Football Stadium with the presence of many Colombian fans in the stands, the “Cafeteras” opened the scoring, from a penalty, thanks to Catalina Usmé (30°). Then the nugget of Real Madrid, Linda Caicedo, 18, who is playing in her third World Cup this season (U20 and U17 World Cup) as well as the Copa America, doubled her bet on a shot on the left wing, helped by a hand ball from the South Korean goalkeeper (39th).
For their second match, the Colombians will meet Germany, one of the favorites of this World Cup, on Sunday at 11:30 (live on France 4).
