Axel Disasi and Jean-Clair Todibo called by Didier Deschamps to replace William Saliba and Wesley Fofana

In view of Euro 2024 Qualifiers, Didier Deschamps has opted to select Axel Disasi and Jean-Clair Todibo on Sunday March 19 to offset the packs of William Saliba and Wesley Fofana. Then they will join the meeting of the Azzurri dedicated to the first two matches of the Euro 2024 qualifiers, against the Netherlands on Friday 24 March at the Stade de France, and in the Republic of Ireland on Monday 27 March.

The latter, who was due to honor his first selection with the Blues, suffered a hamstring injury on Saturday with his club Chelsea against Everton (2-2). The Arsenal defender was forced off in the 21st minute with back pain on Thursday 16 March during the second leg of the Europa League round of 16 against Sporting (1-2).
