5th All-Russian Fonbet Adaptive Hockey Festival
The reach of the Adaptive Hockey Festival is growing every year. In 2022, more than 40 teams from 30 regions of Russia took part in the festival, and in 2023, 63 teams from 39 regions of Russia applied for participation. For the first time, teams from the Donetsk and Luhansk republics will take part in the tournament.
By tradition, all teams at the Festival are mixed. Girls and boys over 7 years old will take part in the games in three disciplines: special hockey, hockey for the blind and sledge hockey for children with ODA violations.
Nikita Ivanov, Head of Charity Programs Department, FONBET
– We all know that adaptive hockey is more difficult than hockey. And adaptive hockey for kids is doubly difficult. Because hockey is not an easy game. And while it’s not easy for our Paralympic athletes to play hockey with health limitations, it’s much more difficult for boys and girls. Courage, willpower, perseverance, love of life and undoubted professionalism – all guys have these qualities in abundance, and sometimes it’s really worth considering who should take an example from whom in this case: children as adults or vice versa. The FONBET company returns with the Festival, and first of all because it is here that we understand what real sport is and who is a real athlete.
