“1:15pm on Sunday” delves into the heart of the most famous Formula 1 race in the world: the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The next edition, next June, will be the hundredth. A story through the portraits of three amateur pilots, in a series of four episodes.
This new edition of 1.15pm on Sunday“(Chirping, #1:15 pm) propose a new series on a legendary place and a mythical race: the 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit, which will celebrate its centenary on 10 and 11 June.
This is the story of two Breton brothers, Matthieu and Jean-Baptiste, and their best friend François. Passionate about motorsports, all three are amateur drivers and will live a childhood dream: to take part together in the most important race, the 24 Hours of Le Mans. This race is, together with the Tour de France and Roland-Garros, one of the biggest sporting events in the country. The audience is always there : the 300,000 tickets for the next edition sold out in a few days.
A festival that brings together thousands of enthusiasts
The time of departure is approaching and with it the promise of many twists and turns. But before the race there is a popular festival. The 24 Hours of Le Mans is also a festival that attracts tens of thousands of enthusiasts where the figure of the driver is always adored. This is what Jean-Baptiste, Matthieu and François will discover.
After years of waiting and preparing, D-Day finally arrives for our pilots. They will discover the very high level of this competition, a ruthless race.
