US consumer prices rose 0.4% in February, in line with expectations

March 14 (Reuters) – The US consumer price index was 0.4% m/m in February, the US Department of Labor said on Tuesday, in line with economists’ expectations.

In annual terms, consumer inflation slowed down to 6.0%, as expected.

Excluding food and energy prices, inflation was 0.5% m/m, while economists expected 0.4%.

In annual terms, the base value amounted to 5.5%, in line with economists’ forecast. (Reuter office in Gdansk)
