The Ministry of Justice declared the founder of Gulag.net and the singer Monetochka to be “foreign agents”

The Russian Ministry of Justice has entered the founder of the human rights project Gulagu.net Vladimir Osechkin and the singer Elizaveta Gyrdymova, known as Monetochka, into the register of “foreign agents”.

In addition, they included Moscow City Duma deputy from Yabloko Daria Besedina, bloggers Vadim Kharchenko and Anton Ustimov, as well as one of the leaders of the Circassian movement Ibragim Yaganov. In addition, the T9 NSK project for transgender people and their loved ones was included in the register.

The day before, Monetochka was demanded to be recognized as a “foreign agent” by Vitaly Borodin, head of the Federal Project for Security and Combating Corruption. He sent an appeal to Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov. Borodin was outraged by a video from the singer’s performance at a concert in Lithuania, where she holds a blue-and-white flag in her hands and shouts: “Glory to Ukraine”, “Russia will be free” and “Long live Belarus”. He also offered to confiscate a two-room apartment from Monetochka in the Basmanny district of Moscow. Earlier, Gyrdymova put it up for sale.

After the start of the war in Ukraine, the singer left Russia with her husband and producer Viktor Isaev. She currently resides in Vilnius.
