The Crimean authorities appealed not to use phones on the bridge in Kerch

Oleg Kryuchkov, adviser to the head of Crimea on information policy, appealed to Russian tourists not to use smartphones to shoot videos on the Kerch bridge, because “the enemy monitors chats.”

The official recalled that the bridge had been hit twice, and people and cars were removed from the “facility” in the event of any danger. “In these situations, please keep calm and forget about the calls. The enemy is monitoring chats and using your video and noise,” he wrote on the Telegram channel.

On the night of July 21, half an hour before Kryuchkov’s transfer, the Crimean operational command announced an anti-aircraft alert and a traffic stop on the Crimean bridge. Traffic was restored after about ten minutes.

The alarm has been raised because of information about the surface drone, Baza said. It is not known if it was genuine.

On Thursday, the alarm was already announced on the Kerch bridge and all drivers asked to leave the bridge. Car traffic resumed soon after. According to the Kryminform agency, the alarm was training.

On the night of July 17, the Crimean bridge was attacked for the second time in a year. As a result of the incident, a married couple, who was in one of the cars, died, and their daughter was injured. The car part of the bridge was damaged and its full restoration may take until November, said Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Chusnullin. He estimated the repair at at least a billion rubles.
