The Federal Tax Service (FTS) of Russia has published a second list of famous bloggers and artists suspected of tax evasion. This time the list includes more than 100 names of celebrities who actively use social networks to promote their personal brands. According to Masha, each of the suspects is accused of organizing financial schemes.
According to the channel’s sources, the financial records and accounts of all suspects will be thoroughly studied by FTS specialists in the near future. The main schemes to be explored include working for cash without closing records, avoiding paying 13% income tax, and creating several one-person businesses for friends and relatives.
A group of tax experts is already working on this project, and notifications about the upcoming tax audit have been or will be sent to every celebrity in the near future. The suspension of transactions on accounts has already affected some suspects, such as Olga Buzova, Ksenia Borodina, Nikolai Sobolev, Gohar Avetisyan, Victoria Bonya and Ida Galich.
For example, Ksenia Borodina LLC was blocked from transferring money due to the discovery of inaccurate information about the company. Similarly, Face Sculptor LLC, of which Victoria Bonya is 50% owner, has been banned and is now in liquidation.
The Investigative Committee began a massive check of millionaire bloggers after initiating criminal cases for tax evasion against the author of “Marathon of Desires” Elena Blinovskaya (5.3 million subscribers) and blogger Alexandra Mitroshina (4.2 million subscribers), who wrote about sports, healthy eating, travel and online content promotion.
In addition, the investigators charged the fitness blogger and the creator of the cosmetics brand. Letique by Valeria Chekalina, known as Lerchek (10 million subscribers) and her husband Artem Chekalin. They were suspected of tax evasion and later of money laundering in the amount of 130 million rubles. Now the couple is under house arrest.
