Strelkov refused to fight in the Wagner PMC

The former Minister of Defense of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic, Igor Strelkov (Girkin), refused to fight in Ukraine as part of the Wagner PMC following the words of its founder, Yevgeny Prigozhin. He told about this in his Telegram channel.

“The last public speech of Mr. Prigozhin, which contains a stream of the most blatant lies addressed to me, completely excludes the possibility of my participation in this PMC. I would not be able to serve under the leadership of a person who openly accused me of betraying Russia. Not to mention the dirty humiliation that accompanies these allegations. point, ”Strelkov insisted. He said that earlier they talked about possible participation in hostilities as part of the PMC.

Earlier, Prigozhin commented on Girkin’s prospects in the PMCs. According to him, he has two service options: to fight as an attack aircraft or to come to the “Commanders’ Council”, from where he will be sent “into the thick of it.” The founder of the mercenaries explained that Andrei Troshev, who was responsible for Strelkov, called him and invited him to Lugansk. Prigozhin also accused Girkin of handing over Slavyansk and receiving money from Ukrainian businessman Rinat Akhmetov.

Earlier, Prigozhin entered into a dispute with Strelkov after he called him “a criminal and a man with a servant’s background” and accused him of the mediocre use of mercenaries in the war in Ukraine. Strelkov, in response, stressed that he would make a decision only after direct talks with official representatives of Wagner PMC.
