S7 Airlines to launch foreign flights for the first time since March

S7 Airlines will launch foreign flights for the first time since the beginning of March. As noted in the telegram channel of the air carrier, while the planes will fly only to Turkey.

From September 26, the company will launch daily flights from Moscow to Antalya. From October 22, it will be possible to fly to the Turkish resort from Novosibirsk. At first, planes will fly there on Saturdays, and from November 1 – on Tuesdays and Fridays.

“Flights to Turkey from both cities depart in the morning and return to Moscow and Novosibirsk around 20:00 and 21:00, respectively,” the company said.

Russia’s largest private airline, S7 Airlines, canceled international flights on March 5 after its plane was delayed in Yerevan. The press service of the Civil Aviation Committee (CAC) of Armenia stated that the plane was not arrested, but “problems arose between the airline and the aviation authorities of the country in which the aircraft is registered.” Because of this, the permission to fly had to be temporarily suspended.

As part of the sanctions, domestic airlines had to return foreign aircraft to lessors, otherwise they were threatened with confiscation upon landing at an airport outside of Russia. Because of this, Russians cannot make direct flights to most countries of the world: only 19 countries can go on a direct flight.
