PMC “Wagner” cemetery with 70 fresh graves was found in the Sverdlovsk region

In the city of Berezovsky, Sverdlovsk region, a mass grave of mercenaries of the Wagner private military company was discovered. Journalists from the local edition of Zolotaya Gorka counted 67 fresh graves.

Only men were buried there, mostly between the ages of 30 and 40. Most of them died in December-January. All graves are of the same type: with a cross, a plaque and two wreaths with a tricolor Russian eagle and a two-headed eagle. Each is covered with spruce branches.

Nearby, 10 pits were dug for future burials. The workers said three more people were buried here on the morning of March 16, and two new zinc coffins would be brought in in the evening. Journalists of the E1 portal witnessed the exhumation: it was carried out at the request of the relatives of the deceased. They wanted transport the body to the home region – to the Chelyabinsk region. From communication with them, it appeared that Wagner’s PMC mercenaries were buried in the cemetery, including those recruited in the colonies.

According to funeral directors, people whose relatives have not been found within three days after the death of the militants are brought there and buried. “Our boys are not here. Not all of them are local,” they added.

Among the buried are many residents of the Chelyabinsk region, the Perm Territory and Tyumen. Their names are in court records. For example, one of the victims is a resident of the Kurgan region, who in 2017 killed a veteran of the Great Patriotic War to steal medals. The other, from Yekaterinburg, was serving a sentence for a series of robberies at communications stores.

This is at least the third cemetery in the Sverdlovsk region for participants in the war in Ukraine. PKW “Wagner” did not comment on the information about the new burial.
