Mircosoft disabled cloud services for Yandex

Yandex lost access to cloudy office services Microsoft. This was reported in Yandex Cloud.

In this regard, after August 31 this year, the licensing of services based on Microsoft products will be suspended.

This means that on August 15, Yandex will limit the ability to create new services based on Microsoft: SQL Server™ managed service clusters, virtual machines with Marketplace images (Windows Server, SQL Server, RDS). Current services will continue to run, but new SQL Server managed clusters and Windows Server-based virtual machines cannot be deployed.

On August 31, Yandex will have to turn off KMS servers that are responsible for licensing SQL Server, Windows Server and RDS services. It will also stop Managed Service for SQL Server™ clusters.

In addition, the Loginom and Kaspersky services, which are based on Windows Server, will lose their licenses. Vendors are currently working on Linux versions of these products. Yandex promised to tell when they will be available.
