Websites and bloggers should promote rural life among young people, said Valentina Matviyenko, chairwoman of the Federation Council. She appealed for support for the movement of rural bloggers who talk about the benefits of living in the countryside.

Matvienko met with representatives of the social environment of the village. The meeting was also attended by bloggers and students, who, according to the speaker, should explain to the young generation all the advantages of living in the countryside in “simple language”. Matvienko instructed bloggers to “break old stereotypes and prejudices.” »It is also an important and desirable job, she told the meeting participants.

The interest of city dwellers in rural life is growing year by year, the chairman of the Federation Council assures. However, she noted that in the countryside, the birth rate is lower than in the cities, and the mortality rate is higher. Matvienko called for the fight against negative “trends”, and in addition, in every village and in every village, life should be “bubbling”, and its quality should not be worse than the urban level.

At the end of last year, the Ministry of Health recorded an increase in the death rate of the rural population due to alcoholism by 7%, and the number of mental disorders by 6%.
