Lukoil sold refineries in Italy

MOSCOW, Jan 9 (Reuters) – Lukoil and GOI Energy have agreed to sell an ISAB refinery on the island of Sicily, Russia’s largest private oil producer said on Monday.

The company plans to close the deal by the end of March 2023 after fulfillment of the suspensive conditions, including obtaining the necessary approvals from regulators, including the Italian government.

“To ensure the efficient operation of the complex, after the acquisition of GOI Energy, a partnership was formed with Trafigura, one of the largest international traders of oil and oil products, which will ensure continuous supplies of raw materials to refineries, as well as the shipment of products and the necessary level of working capital,” Lukoil said in a statement.
