During the explosion in Luhansk, Igor Kornet, the head of the Ministry of the Interior of the occupation authorities of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic, was injured. This was reported by Interfax, citing the emergency services in Luhansk.

Earlier, the pro-Russian head of the Luhansk region, Leonid Pasechnik, spoke about the incident. According to him, the explosion occurred at rush hour in the very center of the city on Demekhina Street.

“Unfortunately, there are casualties. According to preliminary data – undermining. Ambulances, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, all relevant departments are already working at the scene, ”he wrote in the telegram channel.

Pasechnik later explained that seven people were injured in the incident. “All the wounded were hospitalized in the medical institutions of the republic. Four men are in a serious condition, including a 17-year-old, as well as the acting Minister of the Interior of the LPR Igor Kornet. Doctors are fighting for the lives of the victims,” ​​he said.

According to Base, the explosion happened at a local barbershop while Cornet was there. During the attack on the pro-Russian head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Luhansk region, one civilian was killed and three guards were injured, law enforcement officials told TASS.
