AvtoVAZ employees offered to resign voluntarily

AvtoVAZ offered employees in Izhevsk, where the Lada Vesta was produced, to pay several salaries if they quit voluntarily. About this “Interfax” informed company press office.

The workers were promised further assistance in finding employment at other enterprises in Izhevsk and Udmurtia. The automaker is also ready to sponsor the retraining of voluntarily retired workers. If they agree, they will be paid five average wages or 12 minimum wages. At the same time, RIA Novosti clarifiesthat 12 minimum wages is more than five average wages. Employees of pre-retirement age will be able to count on the maximum payment upon reaching early retirement.

At the same time, the company claims that mass layoffs at the plant in Izhevsk are not planned. And payments for voluntary care are called part of a set of additional support measures: the plant has been idle for five months due to the lack of supplies of components for Lada Vesta from abroad. At the end of July, workers at the Izhevsk Automobile Plant, which employs about 3,200 people, turned to Vladimir Putin with a demand to solve the problem with missing parts for car production.

The departure of foreign concerns and the cessation of the supply of components paralyzed automotive production from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok. According to the results of May, the production of passenger cars in Russia decreased by 96.7% – that is, by 30 times in annual terms, Rosstat reported on Wednesday. In a month, only 4,000 cars left the assembly line, although before the war it was 100,000 or more.
