A Russian missile attack damaged 25 apartment buildings in Kramatorsk
On the morning of March 14, Russian troops shelled the Kramatorsk housing estate in the Donetsk region of Ukraine. The missile attack damaged 25 residential buildings, one private house, as well as a kindergarten, a museum and an office building. This was reported by the Kramatorsk City Council.
At least one person was killed in the shelling, said Pavel Kirilenko, head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration. Another seven civilians were injured.
Four people were pulled out from under the rubble, one of them died in hospital, they informed. at the General Prosecutor’s Office. The prosecutor’s office initiated preparatory proceedings regarding the commission of a crime due to the violation of the laws and customs of war. There may still be people under the rubble, rescue work is underway.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reacted to the information about the missile attack.
“State evil continues to fight against civilians. Destroying life and leaving nothing human. Every blow that takes an innocent life must result in a lawful and just sentence for murder. It will certainly be so,” the president wrote.
Kramatorsk is located in the Donetsk Oblast, it is the largest city controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the region. It is regularly attacked by rockets. The city is located about 20 kilometers west of Bakhmut, which has been fiercely contested in recent months.
