Wall Street opens in scattered order, Tesla and Netflix weigh on the Nasdaq

The New York Stock Exchange opened in scattered order on Thursday, with the Nasdaq and S&P 500 being penalized by lackluster results from Tesla and Netflix, while the Dow Jones continued to advance boldly, after eight positive sessions in a row. In early trading, the Dow Jones gained 0.31%, the Nasdaq index returned 0.52% and the broader S&P 500 index dropped 0.14%.
