One hundred unfilled positions

The majority union of the second degree (college and high school) Snes-FSU is sounding the alarm, even though the new Minister of National Education Pap Ndiaye promises a salary of 2000 euros net for future teachers at the start of their career.

“In the external German capes, there are only 83 eligible for 215 positions and in the internal competition, there were 34 eligible and only 29 admitted for 35 positions, notes the Snes. This year more than a hundred positions will be lost in German, a discipline already accustomed to the loss of positions in previous years”. The secondary school union fears, moreover, to make a similar observation concerning the capes of modern or classic letters, living languages, physics and chemistry.

The first degree is not spared by this lack of interest in the teaching profession which affects many students. Not to mention the aberrations of the system. A pool of replacements

In the absence of eligible candidates, contract workers are hired, to the chagrin of the teachers’ unions, which constantly demand the hiring of teachers who have passed the academic competition.

Wednesday, July 6, at the rectorate, the academic director of the national education services (Dasen) of Haute-Garonne Mathieu Sieye and inspectors will receive, all day, candidates for teaching positions in schools “in order to build up a pool of replacements” for next year.

The funny “job dating” of teachers’ unions

To thwart the recruitment projects of the rectorate of Toulouse, which receives, Wednesday, July 6, a hundred candidates who apply for a teaching post in the schools of Haute-Garonne, the teachers’ unions organize their own job dating.
