The Ixina store taken over in Montauban: a happy ending for customers
The commercial court validated the plan to take over the Ixina brand of Christophe Amiel, manager of three stores in Toulouse. Wounded customers will get their own kitchens.
“Ixina, best commercial chain 2023 in the kitchen department. Affixed to a shop that has closed since the end of November 2022, the sticker can make you smile. But the franchise keeps the rating. After the sudden closure of the former managers and the forced liquidation of the store, which got four employees and more than 200 customers into trouble, an administrator was appointed and two buyers made themselves known: Christophe Amiel, franchise manager of three Cuisine Plus stores in Toulouse and the owner of Ixina in Albi.

In a ruling of February 27, the commercial court ruled in favor of the project led by Christophe Amiel. The latter offered more than his opponent (75,000 euros), but his experience of around ten years in the profession prevailed. “I have already taken over two shops in Bordeaux and Portet-sur-Garonne under the same conditions. I came in with a three-year forecast, knowing we’ll lose money for a year before we regain our balance. I was seduced by the proximity to Toulouse and Ixina is a very nice brand. The shop made money. »
Cuisine Plus and Ixina belonging to the same franchise (FBD), Christophe Amiel’s file was fully admissible.
Given the production times, we will install the first kitchens in two months and it will take about a year to sell them all. There will be priorities. Some files stick to the bowels.
While the store should reopen at the same address in the north, still under the name of Ixina, in early April the new manager, aided by the brand’s customer service, has already hired his pilgrim staff to reassure customers.
“We counted 220 injured customers, of which 150 who paid installments for complete kitchens (that is, a windfall of over 400,000 euros that disappeared into thin air) and 70 after-sales assistance procedures. I have already telephoned a hundred of them. Given the production times, we will install the first kitchens in two months and it will take about a year to sell them all. There will be priorities. Some files stick to the bowels. A battalion of fitters will also need to be trained because the old ones have not been paid for several months. It is I who will finance with the support of the Ixina franchise and I hope that our suppliers will give us percentages. We’re not going to make money off these cases, but we want these clients to become lawyers for the store. »
As regards personnel, Christophe Amiel has taken over two former salesmen. The other two not having wanted to continue the adventure, two hires, one of which has already been completed, will complete the team. “It’s a relief, comments Ivain Capdeville, who has been promoted to manager. We didn’t see anything coming. The shop was doing well, we had just had a record month, the manager had told us about the Christmas holidays and plans for 2023. One afternoon she called to tell us the shop was closing. We have been unemployed since January. »
The end of a long and unpleasant series. Unless justice intervenes, as several complaints have been filed with the Prosecutor’s Office…
