The former Airbusian Didier Evrad joins the Toulouse group Mecachrome

Didier Évrard, former director of Airbus programs now retired from the European aircraft manufacturer, has just strengthened the governance of the aeronautical group Mecachrome, whose headquarters are in Blagnac. Didier Evrard has just been appointed non-executive chairman of the monitoring committee. In these new functions, he succeeds another Airbus operator, Eric Zanin, who continues his mission as a member of the monitoring committee. The purpose of this body is to ensure good service to Mecachrome customers and to lead the integration of recent acquisitions, including the Occitan group We Are.

Didier Evrard will assist Christian Cornille, the president of Mecachrome and his executive committee both in the operational and strategic dimension. An engineer from the Ecole Centrale de Lyon and the Higher Institute of Aeronautics and Space (ISAE), Didier EVRARD held the position of program manager within the defense group MBDA. He was then responsible for Airbus’ long-haul aircraft program, the A350 XWB. He oversaw its technical and industrial development. Then for nearly five years, he served as Executive Vice President and Director of Programs at Airbus Commercial Aircraft.
