The company of Gimont Ducs de Gascogne acquired by Bio Conquête
The Ducs de Gascogne company changes hands. It is the Bio Conquête company that takes over the Gimont company.
New change of ownership for the Ducs de Gascogne company of Gimont, specialized in the production of foie gras. The company has just been taken over by Bio Conquête, a group of organic farms and food factories.
Marie and Cyril Jollivet had taken over the company at the beginning of 2017. At that time, Ducs de Gascogne had 75 employees, three million boxes of processed foie gras and terrines, a turnover of 11 million euros the previous year, including 1 million for export, 240 outlets including 4 of its own shops, more than 500,000 gourmet parcels delivered each year throughout France.
“We also thought there was a great chance, that the company was a sleeping beauty that needed to be awakened. Here there have been more than 140 employees and the turnover has risen to 25 million euros”, the new owner confided to us at the time.
“The acquisition of Ducs de Gascogne is an important milestone for the Bio Conquête group […] The salespeople, Marie and Cyril Jollivet, have brilliantly transformed the company and we are delighted to be taking over this new phase of development. Our project for Ducs de Gascogne will revolve around a strategy of social and environmental impact, while affirming its territorial roots,” said Nicolas Mosser, president of Bio Conquête after this acquisition.
