The back-to-school bonus will be paid to 3 million French people from 1 August
The back-to-school bonus is disbursed every year by the Caf. In anticipation of the next school year, its amount has been increased.
It is a payment expected by many French families, the back-to-school allowance allows millions of families to approach the start of the new school year with more serenity. This year its amount has been revised upwards due to the economic environment and inflation. The allowance now amounts to €398.09 for children aged 6 to 10, €420.05 for children aged 11 to 14 and €436.61 for children aged 15 to 18, i.e. a revaluation 5.6% compared to the amount paid in summer 2022.
From August 1st
The first payments will take place from August 1, for families residing in Reunion and Mayotte. In fact, the beginning of the school year is foreseen there (17 and 23 August). Everywhere, the back-to-school allowance will be paid through the child benefit funds on 16 August.
It should be remembered that the disbursement of the check is subject to income criteria. 22,775 for one child, 31,723 for two, 37,671 for three, 43,619 for four, therefore 5,948 euros for each additional child.
