In the digital age, contact remains essential. The open day organized this Wednesday 15 March by the CFA professional school of Tarn-et-Garonnne provided a prime example.

Students, trainers and the management team mobilized to make this event a success. 375 students from fifteen institutions of the department arrived, the very smiling and elegant students who are undergoing commercial training welcomed and guided them.

The students were in charge of welcoming accompanied by Ingrid Fresse, deputy director and Thierry Deville, 1st vice-president of Grand Montauban.

Some young people have come with their families to learn about the various qualifying training courses offered (CAP, professional certificate, professional high school diploma) divided into four main sectors: food (butcher, baker, pastry chef), construction (carpenter, bricklayer, fitter of heating systems, carpenter, house painter, electrician, craftsman, metal smith, HVAC and sanitary engineering), trades and services (hairdresser, kitchen, hotel bar restaurant services, multi-skilled team member, trades, culinary arts) mechanical ( bodybuilder, vehicle maintenance).

700 young people are trained at the Ecole des Métiers, 100 undergo a preparatory training to help them in their career choice, 20 adults are undergoing professional retraining.

Personalized welcome

The 4-hectare campus houses classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, a 40-seat boarding school and a self-catering facility. An Erasmus programme, for which Véronique Delfaud and Angélina Romeo are certified referents, makes it possible to organize study trips abroad.

Thus, the students of the CAP for hairdressing went to Andalusia. This open day allowed prospective students to obtain information from the youth service of Grand Montauban and discover its transports. The sports associations and the SNCF were present.

As indicated by the teaching staff, the main strengths of the CFA lie in the personalized welcome of each student, in the ability to adapt and in the privileged links maintained with the various professional federations.
