Heavy. The Boutique of the Pyrenees becomes Art of the Pyrenees
The Boutique des Pyrénées is taken over by the craftsmen who exhibit there. It will now be called Art des Pyrénées.
La Boutique des Pyrénées, located at 1, rue de la Halle, will change its name from 16 March. But that’s not all… The Municipality, which initiated the project, will withdraw as agreed. Its role as sponsor is now over. The goal has been achieved, the structure will continue!
“This store was born after the success of the Christmas 2020 and 2021 pop-up stores. Among the objectives of our commercial department, we had the creation of pop-up stores. It is therefore quite natural that we have supported and accompanied this shop project throughout the year. We first spoke with Mr. Leal, the owner, to present the project to which he has joined. He also agreed to sign a one-year temporary lease, which is uncommon. The municipal services then took over to carry out the administrative procedures, manufacture and install the sign, decorate the shop window, the sidewalk… Each creator was also able to benefit from a personalized presentation sheet, updated regularly. , to promote knowledge of him as and
its products”.
Turnover exceeding €32,000
Therefore, we can say that the experience is conclusive if we just stick to the data available today.
“In one year, 19 artisans were welcomed. Paintings, objects in wood and wool, jewels, aromatic plants, spit-roasted cakes, candles, honey, jams… the artisans have followed one another over the months. At the end of December, the store’s turnover amounted to 32,869 euros. This is an excellent result, knowing that, on average, the monthly figure is more than 2,500 euros, not counting the record month of December which counts 9,500 euros. The experience was enriching for everyone. During the inauguration on April 7, 2022, we invited the press and partners to explain the project, which concretely symbolizes our willingness to do everything possible to revitalize local and local commerce. I would like to thank the mayor and elected officials, the artisans and all the city services who have contributed to the success of this project”, summarizes Julien Lemaître, the elected trade manager.
From 16 March, the shop will take on the new name: Art des Pyrénées. An official move will be made when the facility has taken its signs and installed its new sign. “We wish them to continue on the right path and with the most beautiful of successes”, confides Julien Lemaître.
