Manuelle Pelissier, a nurse by profession, created GrabCare, to coordinate the intervention of professionals in the event of loss of autonomy.

The “INCO” incubator hosts twelve impact startups in Toulouse, including GrabCare, which means to take care, created by Manuelle Pelissier in December 2021. A nurse for more than twenty years, she brought back from her stays abroad the concept assistance management, i.e. the coordination of services around the elderly so that they can maintain their autonomy. “The first step is to carry out a self-help assessment at home or during hospitalization. »

Then recommendations are made to families. “We have defined six areas of intervention: housing, social ties, well-being, autonomy, administrative assistance and prevention. They liked the idea: winner of the French Tech Toulouse Tremplin programme, Manuelle Pelissier obtained 30,000 euros and the support of Inco, as well as 10,000 euros from the Region.

“We are the only ones in Occitania! »

There are two formulas: a one-time follow-up billed at €50 per hour to families or a monthly subscription at €199 for support that evolves over time with one visit per month and one call per week. GrabCare activates its network and provides the necessary contacts (assistance, meals, cleaning, transport, etc.) without collecting any commission. Founded in the Gers and Haute-Garonne, the start-up is developing its mapping of professionals, “to go further in innovative services and products to make life easier for seniors and their carers”. Like a voice assistant to call loved ones, a diary that the family keeps…

Turnover is still low (about 5,000 euros), but the founder plans to double it this year and break even in 2024. It’s all about visibility. Thus agreements have been made with clubs and residences for the elderly.
