Gers: the Paysages in Marciac event returns from July 26 to 31 and will be broadcast on Youtube

The summer meeting of tomorrow’s agriculture “Landscapes in Marciac” proposed by Arbre et Paysage 32 and Ver de Terre Production, returns for its 14th edition from Tuesday 26 to Sunday 31 July. This year’s theme is “Health: of plants, of humans, of nature!”. Agroforestry, agroecology, carbon footprint… Issues that concern all sectors of agriculture. “We hope that this year will be the edition of the change of scale”, confides the director of Tree and Landscape 32 Alain Canet… Theme days by reservation or live on Youtube. The program of the week

Tuesday, July 26 is a first day of presentation with Alain Canet, the director of Tree and Landscape 32 and Hervé Covès, agronomist, researcher and ecologist. A launch party is scheduled for 6 p.m.

Wednesday 27 will be dedicated to viticulture with Konrad Schreiber, agronomist and project manager of the Institute for Sustainable Agriculture, among other speakers. Starting with a morning entitled “planting the vine for 100 years” and continuing with an afternoon bringing together viticulture and agroecology with the presentation of the techniques used in this direction.

Let’s leave room for the global theme of agroecology on Thursday, July 28, starting with the intervention of Vincent Levavasseur, Market gardener on living soil and director of Ver de Terre Production. A free tour of the farm is also scheduled at 9 a.m. at the Refaire farm in Marciac. From 7 p.m., meet for “chats by the fireside” with Alain Canet and Hervé Covès (paying event by reservation).

Friday, July 29, “Carbon is life” will begin with a round table on the limits of the low-carbon label spread over the whole morning. A free “countryside tree and hedge” walk is also organized at 10 a.m. in front of the Marciac Tourist Office. The afternoon will continue on the same theme and with the screening of the film “Le Chêne” from 5 p.m. (paying event).

The day of Saturday 30 will also begin with a round table discussing “health from soil to blood”. A free “nature” walk is planned with Hervé Covès at 10 a.m. at the Farm. The day will end with a workshop “measurement of the magnetic susceptibility of soils”. Finally, meet at 9 p.m. for an agroforestry banquet (paying event by reservation).

The last day will see several events around the theme “the great witnesses”. A “medicinal plants” walk is also planned at 10 a.m. at the Farm.

All events are accessible in person, upon registration. Outings and film debates are only face-to-face. The events are broadcast live on Youtube, on the Ver de Terre Production channel. Catering is possible for lunch and dinner at the Ferme de Redo by reservation on Hello Asso. It is possible to camp at the farm, by reservation and within the limits of available places.
