Figeac Aéro on track: the group achieves its growth objective

Goal achieved ! The Figeac Aéro group has just announced excellent results, in line with the forecasts hoped for with the recovery of activity in the aviation sector. All green light and the numbers confirm the prospects displayed, especially in terms of turnover.

In a press release dated May 24, Figeac Aéro announces good news and confirms the success of its recovery strategy. “In the full financial year 2022/23 (ended 31 March 2023), Figeac Aéro recorded strong revenue growth of 21.1% compared to the previous year, to 341.4 million euros. Over the period, growth organic sales was 14%. This performance mainly reflects the increase in production rates of the main manufacturers in the sector, with which Figeac Aéro continues to strengthen its partnerships. Turnover was also driven, to a lesser extent, by currency effects and initiatives to transfer inflation Beyond In the period, all Group activities contributed to growth: main beneficiary of the recovery in In the civil aeronautics sector, the Aerostructures & Aeromotors division recorded an increase in turnover of 22.7 % (14.8% in organic terms) to 311.6 million euros; diversification activities have capitalized on the numerous growth opportunities in the defence, energy and oil & gas sectors, and are up by 6.7%”.

Jean-Claude Maillard, President and CEO of the Figeacois group, comments on these results: “We have been able to adapt and recover after the difficult years we have gone through. It is a source of pride for the group and its teams to achieve our sales target for the second consecutive year. Even if the challenges remain, we confirm through this good performance that the crisis is indeed behind us. We have emerged stronger and are ideally positioned to benefit from the growth opportunities generated by the strong recovery in the aerospace sector. »

A solid order book

Despite recruitment and procurement issues affecting the entire industry, Figeac Aéro is adapting to meet growing demands. “In this context, Figeac Aéro has an important asset with an industrial footprint already sized for growth. The group is therefore experiencing good commercial momentum, especially with system and engine manufacturers, and remains fully focused on developing the its attractiveness and operational excellence 3.4 billion euros5, up on the first half of 2022/23 (3.0 billion euros), driven in particular by the increase in production rates and the acquisition of new tenders.Certification AS9100 obtained in July 2022 by the joint venture in Saudi Arabia, and in April 2023 by the joint venture in China, the group now has two fully operational entities, located in regions with very high potential that should record the highest growth in air traffic and the consequent demand of new aircraft”. The group continues to implement its “Route 25” strategic plan. “Figeac Aéro is on a solid trajectory of profitable growth” concludes the press release.

The Figeacois group will be present at the Paris Air Show, the most important event in the sector, which returns after four years of absence due to a health crisis.
