Electric bikes to facilitate the return to work

As we know, among the many obstacles to returning to work, there is mobility. This is a problem that the associations of intermediaries who intervene in this sector of work find themselves facing in particular. Like Adel (association for the development of local employment), whose offices are based in Bozouls and which operates throughout northern Aveyron, that of Conques-Marcillac. A large area, in which 278 people were employed in 2022 through Adel.

However, of these 278 people, 98 had to face a mobility problem in order to respond to a job offer. For this reason, it did not hesitate to act with the five intermediary associations of the department to benefit from the support of state services, through funding from the regional prefecture.

And this materializes, for Adel, with the use of five pedal assisted bicycles. The structure having observed that the extremely rural area in which he operates is poorly covered by public transport solutions. Thus, Adel thus offers a new travel solution in the inhabited areas of Bozouls, Laissac, Marcillac-Vallon, Mur-de-Barrez, Saint-Geniez d’Olt and Aubrac. Recently, at their headquarters in Bozouls, employees and various stakeholders of this project met to celebrate this new experiment with a white stone. This is part of a broader reflection on the theme of mobility, since the theme appears increasingly crucial, especially in this context of tensions on the labor market.
