The new Comptoir de Lolo restaurant room was inaugurated on Saturday 11 March, in the Prosper Montagné rooms. The bistro expands with 14 more covers, and now offers about fifteen tables from Tuesday to Saturday.

The bistronomic atmosphere is gaining momentum in the halls of Carcassonne. It is no coincidence that Laurence and Frédéric Riera, known as “Lolo and Fred”, owners of the Comptoir de Lolo, have expanded their restaurant. A small cell with a high table already existed when it was opened. From now on it is possible to sit in a new room in the center of the rooms, with the atmosphere it offers. From Tuesday to Saturday, the manager, recently retired from the fire department, cooks on site. “All the products we offer come from merchants in Carcassonne, the meat comes directly from the salt and Fred cooks it a la plancha”, Laurence says proudly. “On Saturdays there are tapas à la pique! But we also have fish and chips, all served with homemade chips of course”, continues. For his part he takes care of the bar and the service with the help of his two employees.

The plant had opened in October 2020, to close a week later, not escaping confinement. The Comptoir de Lolo team was therefore happy to reopen, definitively, on May 19, 2021, after seven months of patience. Now he waits, with determination, for the warm season to serve customers on the terrace of the salons. The Prosper Montagné halls are already preparing night events for the coming months.
