An agreement was signed this Tuesday between Lot Aide à Domicile and Animapôle, the high school in Figeac which offers health and social training, like in Montat. The aim is to promote the home help professions. Arnaud Boué, CEO of the company, rejoices: “we put our resources at your disposal to provide the best possible training support. And we count on Animapole to help us with human resources”. Indeed, Lot Aide à Domicile is struggling to recruit. To function properly, another 120 seats would be needed.

“Missions and audiences are diversifying”

There is also a strong training problem. According to the general manager, the wishes for medico-social training have decreased by 5% compared to the wishes of Parcours Sup. “We have to improve our skills. There are more complex paths, people want to stay at home. The domestic workers face pathologies related to old age. But also to the inclusive transition: more and more people with disabilities. The missions and the public are diversify”, concludes Arnaud Boué.

Sophie Girard, manager of the Montat d’Animapôle branch, is delighted that Lot Aide à domicile can “intervene with our students to testify and provide them with a good insight into the profession”.
